Drawings from a journey (Summer 1996)
Almost 3 months of doing nothing. Enjoying the long summer break from my studies. Carefree hippy days...
The idea was, to try to sell some artwork on the road to make a small "living" - but - the plan never worked: I didn't want to give them away. They are quick line drawings, done directly with an ink pen, without sketching, but (rather) careful line adjustment afterwards. I have been criticised that this "technique" takes away the spontaneousness of the drawing, but does it really? (...)
Shocking, it's now more than 10 years ago, yet, it feels like yesterday!
